I recommend you always getting my releases of my uploads in the forums above, because sometimes I release fixes or re-launch some games that have problems. If you get my uploads you'll be sure of having the latest releases. Additionally, you'll get the original package, not images made from discs, so you'll be sure that nothing is corrupted. =================================================================================================== -------------------------------------------------- Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue (NTSC-U) -------------------------------------------------- Ripped: Nothing. Downsampled: Videos. Source: GD dump. === ATTENTION: === You need to execute the "unpack.bat" before burning, it will unpack the .ecm file and create your .cdi image. If you need to apply any patch, do it in the unpacked .cdi file, not in the .ecm file. ================== Videos were downsampled with a very high VBR bitrate, so you won't be able to notice any difference. Audio is untouched. The greatest advantage of this release is performance. This game checks second session start all the time! When loading a level, it checks it about ten times. The result is that reader moves a lot, making loading times very annoying in "normal" releases like Kalisto's. I was able to eliminate this problem moving second session forward and using my common optimization techniques. The loading times are now much faster and quieter, I'm pretty sure they're better than GD. If you have ever tried another release, grab this one now. The downside about the optimization is that second session start is now very close to the border of the disc since second session has a bit more than 100mb. Depending on the calibration of the reader, some consoles may have trouble recognizing the disc. There is nothing I can (or want to) do about it without sacrificing the performance. Fortunately it should be a rare problem, so don't worry too much about it. PAL users, I wasn't able to test the behaviour of this game because it's not compatible with NullDC (at this date). Please give me some feedback about it, explaining what happened. The alternatives are: 1) It will run fine, boot in 60hz and/or show 50/60hz selector screen; 2) It will run fine, but it will only work in 50hz; 3) It won't run at all. If cases 2 or 3 happen, let me know and I'll release a patch for it ASAP. Remember: use composite cable. SCART is unsupported by DCRES project and the game will work with VGA-Box regardless the version of your console. Well, this was a nice game for Playstation, but not a so good one on Dreamcast because it lacks analog support and it has frequent slowdowns. But at least it's Toy Story, is there anyone who doesn't love it? DCRES - keeping the dream alive. Features of my release: - Not corrupted files at all, it was made with GD dump files. - Used custom DCRES optimization techniques. It means faster loadings and less Dreamcast reader noise. - Selfboot. About the game: - It has VGA Box support. Other comments: - "Extras" folder in the pack contains some useless stuff. - Release comes with covers.
