Downsampled: Nothing. Source: GD dump. === ATTENTION: === You need to execute the "unpack.bat" before burning, it will unpack the .ecm file and create your .cdi image. If you need to apply any patch, do it in the unpacked .cdi file, not in the .ecm file. ================ Although it's the PAL version, it will work fine in NTSC-U consoles with or without VGA-Box as usual. Pal users, apply the included patch to make the game boot in 60hz in your consoles. === Read only if you're having trouble === This game has only a few data files and a lot of CDDA, so the start of second session is very close to the end of the disc. Because of the reader's calibration, some consoles may have trouble recognizing this disc. It can be "fixed" remastering the disc in a unusual (but working) way. Here I teach you how to do it. Remember: if your console is recognizing your disc well, you don't have to worry about it. You must be confortable using Echelon's selfboot method to make it right. Tools needed (not included in the pack): cdrecord, mkisofs, binhack, ipins. Optional: cdirip. 1) Extract the CDDA tracks, either using cdirip on the .cdi image or using your favorite program on your already recorded disc. You should have track01.wav, track02.wav, ..., track57.wav now. 2) Delete track01.wav. 3) Rename track03.wav to track01.wav. Now you should have track01.wav, track02.wav, track04.wav, track05.wav, ..., track57.wav. 4) Record the first two tracks (track01.wav and track02.wav) as told in Echelon's tutorial. For that, move both tracks to your cdrecord folder and use "cdrecord -dev=a,b,c -multi -audio -pad track01.wav track02.wav -speed=x", where a,b,c is the number corresponding to your recorder (use "cdrecord -scanbus" to find out) and x is the recording speed. Example: "cdrecord -dev=4,1,0 -multi -audio track01.wav track02.wav". 5) I'll assume the toolkit of the Echelon's method (that has the tools I mentioned earlier) is in "c:\selfboot". Create the directory "c:\selfboot\data" and copy the files of the game (extracted of your already copied disc) to there. In my release pack, there is a directory called "Remastering". Copy the files "ip.bin" and "kao.txt" of there to "c:\selfboot". 6) Use "cdrecord -dev=a,b,c -msinfo" (replacing a,b,c) and it will show you a number. I'll refeer it now on as "0,Y". 7) Now move "1ST_READ.BIN" of the "c:\selfboot\data" directory to "c:\selfboot". 8) Execute "binhack.exe" and it will ask data. Type "1st_read.bin" for first question, "ip.bin" for second and "Y" (your -msinfo number without the "0,") for third. Example: If you get 0,12000 as "-msinfo" number, you'll use 12000 for the third question. 9) Move "1ST_READ.BIN" back to the "c:\selfboot\data" directory. 10) Use "mkisofs.exe -C 0,Y -sort kao.txt -l -o data.iso data", replacing the Y number of course. It will create the file "data.iso". 11) Execute "ipins.exe", then type "ip.bin" for first question and "data.iso" for the second one. 12) In the "Remastering" directory there is a file called "script.bat", right-click it and select "Edit" (or just open it in notepad). You'll find a big command line there. Replace the "-dev=a,b,c" and "-speed=x" for the correct values and save the changes. Move the edited "script.bat" to "c:\selfboot". 13) Move track04.wav, track05.wav, ..., track57.wav to "c:\selfboot". 14) Execute the "script.bat" and the rest of the disc should be recorded. 15) It's ready to play. I think only a few people (if any) will need to remaster this disc, however, if a considerable number of people has problem with this, I can remaster the disc and put it to download too, just let me know. === End of trouble section === Enjoy. Features of my release: - Not corrupted files at all, it was made with GD dump files. - Used custom DCRES optimization techniques. It means faster loadings and less Dreamcast reader noise. - Selfboot. About the game: - It has VGA Box support. Other comments: - "Extras" folder in the pack contains some useless stuff.
