Added to postponed projects. - ~1mb can be saved from duplicated files. - There are ~100mb of SFD, so a lot of space can be saved downsampling them. - There is a huge CDDA track (~71 minutes) with commentaries. Game plays the desired part during the game play. - Echelon has ripped the end of this track to make it fit, it will remove part of commentaries. - I don't like this solution. - Since there is a lot of repeated lines (with different intonation), my idea would be remove them instead to save the space I need. - However, I'd have to adjust the time of every single commentary because I'd remove part in the middle of track. - There is probably a vector indexing the time or sample or sector of each commentary. It should be in a separated file or in the main binary. - If I could find these references, I could remove intermediary parts of CDDA track and do the rip I want. - I haven't tried hacking this game. - Because of nature of CDDA commentary, reader noise can't be helped too much. Putting game files as first track might help. - About 25% of CDDA track (~18 minutes) need to be ripped. - Possible ways to identify the file/part with CDDA references: 1) Look at files loaded until the game starts (NullDC sector -> file). 2) NullDC debugger if the index table is inside game code.
